What do I need to bring to the airport?

You do not need to bring anything specific regarding your eTA as it is all electronically archived and airlines will already know the status of your application in advance. Simply bring your passport and you are ready to go!.

How long can I stay In Canada?

Most visitors are allowed a maximum six-month stay. A border services officer at the port of entry will determine how long exactly you can stay in Canada at your arrival and indicate in your passport the date by which you must leave Canada. If you want to stay longer than your authorized stay, you should apply for an extension at least 30 days before the authorized end of your stay.

If my eTA is approved, does it guarantee my entry to Canada?

No. An eTA does not mean you will definitely be able to enter Canada. It is a travel authorisation which will permit you to travel to the country/board an airline to travel to the country. The decision of your eligibility is the responsibility of the immigration agents on the border upon arrival. However, in order to be able to travel to Canada, you must hold a valid eTA.

How long does it take to make a document and how long can you stay in Canada?

A tourist visa to Canada eTA as mentioned above is valid for 5 years, but it does not mean, of course, that we have so much time in Canada. According to the regulations, our stay in Canada can not be longer than 6 months. The elaboration of the document lasts in most cases up to 3 days. It is also worth mentioning that the eTA document is only necessary when traveling to Canada by air. People who travel by sea or by sea do not need this document.

How long approved eTA is valid ?

Once approved, your eTA is valid for five years or until your passport expires, whichever comes first.

What happens after I send my eTA application?

After submitting and paying for the eTA application, the confirmation of submission will be sent to the e-mail address provided. In the next stage, the application is registered and verified. In most cases, an eTA visa is issued after a short time, and a confirmation is sent to the e-mail address provided with the visa number and expiry date. In rare cases, an application may be subject to a longer verification process. We may also be asked to provide additional documents.

What should I do if my eTA application is denied / rejected?

If the application for eTA is rejected, we will be informed about the reason for the rejection of the application as well as about possible procedures for appealing to the issued decision.

Can I pay with one card for each applicant?

Yes. You can pay several applications with one credit card.

Are there any additional costs besides the eTA application fee?

The amount of the application fee is the only cost associated with issuing an eTA visa and already includes the consular fee.

Do I need eTA if I'm flying from another country through Canada?

Yes. ETA is also required when in transit through Canada.

Can I personally fill the eTA application for family members?

Yes. You can personally fill an eTA application for family members. When completing the application for children and minors, select the appropriate option on the application form and provide the contact details of the parent, guardian or representative.

Do I need an electronic signature to send an eTA application?

No. You do not need an electronic signature to submit an eTA application. We sign the application with the first and last name in the form field.

If I complete the application on Friday or during the weekend, will it be processed?

Yes. eTA applications are accepted and processed around the clock, every day of the week.

What is the difference between a visa and an eTA document?

eTA is an electronic travel authorization Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA), which is required for all citizens of visa-free countries traveling by air or in transit through Canadian territory. However, this permit is not required for people traveling to Canada by land or sea. However, a visa to Canada is required for citizens of countries for which Canada applies the visa requirement and its issue is subject to a separate procedure.
